A Little More On Cornwall

You have probably read quite a bit about our immediate locale on the site already, but there is also so much more in the area to discover, places like Port Isaac, Rock, Padstow, Polzeath and Wadebridge. All of those regions around the Camel Estuary, and neighbouring the hills and valleys around us.

For articles and stories about Cornwall, there are many blogs with weekly updates on what is going on. Also contributors supply details on the wildbirds and waterfowl on the North Coast of the county. Blogs are an excellent way to discover more about an area or subject, and this one hopes to be useful to visitors and residents alike.

Alongside the Camel River and Estuary is the Camel Trail, and cycle route that leads from not far from Steppes, through the wooded valleys to Bodmin, then up a disused railway line past Wadebridge and on to Padstow. It is very popular due to its family friendly nature - traffic free and very level - and also the prevalence of cycle hire centres along the trail. There are businesses located in Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow, providing quality hire.

The route is stunning, passing marshland, woods, rivers, streams, and the wonderful industrial history of the region. Well worth sampling.
